Continent 8 and Miracl join forces to improve iGaming security

Continent 8 Technologies has taken a significant step forward by entering a new partnership with Miracl. This collaboration aims to improve authentication processes for users, especially in the highly regulated iGaming and online sports betting industries, ensuring both speed and security.

Overview of partnership

Continent 8 Technologies specialises in the gaming industry, offering high-performance infrastructure and solutions to support digital operations across the globe. The company has received several prestigious awards, including its third Global Gaming Award for ‘Corporate Service Provider of the Year’ and the ‘Service Provider of the Year’ award at the Global Gaming Awards EMEA.

Miracl is a cybersecurity company that focuses on simplifying authentication through passwordless multi-factor authentication (MFA). MFA is a security system that requires more than one form of verification to authenticate a user’s identity, adding an extra layer of protection compared to traditional passwords. One of the standout features of Miracl’s MFA solution is its impressive 99.9 percent login success rate. This means users experience fewer issues during the login process, leading to higher satisfaction and trust in the system.

Continent 8 and Miracl’s partnership is designed to streamline the authentication process for end-users, particularly those in the iGaming industry. By implementing Miracl’s single-step MFA solution, Continent 8 can offer faster and more secure logins, significantly reducing friction for users while improving security.

This partnership is part of a broader global expansion campaign that Continent 8 has embarked on. Earlier this year, the company announced its entry into the Brazilian market, a significant move as Brazil’s online gaming and betting industries continue to grow.

David Brace, Principal of Innovation & Technology at Continent 8, views this partnership as a significant milestone.

Brace expressed, “Speed, uptime, compliance and security are the pillars of our business, whether it be infrastructure, connectivity or the protection of digital assets. By partnering with Miracl, we add an MFA service that protects players from fraud and cyber-attacks, meets regulatory compliance and offers operators a swift, passwordless MFA experience. This strategic alliance is a significant step forward in our ongoing mission to be the trusted cybersecurity and infrastructure partner for the regulated iGaming and online sports betting industry.”

Rob Griffin (pictured above), CEO of Miracl, emphasises the increasing demand for MFA solutions across industries, especially as regulations become more stringent. Griffin commented, “The shift to mandated MFA by regulators is set to be a massive change in the industry with requirements changing quickly across the globe. Miracl meets 100 percent of these requirements for 100 percent of users while also massively improving their experience.”
