Cordish Gaming boards Bryan Prettyman as SVP of property operations for Live! Louisiana?

The Cordish Gaming Group, the gaming division of The Cordish Companies, has recently appointed Bryan M. Prettyman as Senior Vice President of Property Operations at Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana. This appointment comes as the property gears up for its much-anticipated launch in the first quarter of 2025.

With over 36 years of experience in the gaming and resort industries, Prettyman started his career in 1988 at Trump Entertainment Resorts. He held a role in Casino Hotel Services before becoming a Director in 2001. Prettyman has also been a Treasure Island Resort & Casino general manager and a Regional Director of Marketing at Choctaw Casino & Resort. Throughout his career, he has held esteemed positions at various renowned properties, including Gold Shore Casino (Marketing Director), Barona Resort & Casino (Director), and Carnival Resorts and Casinos (Marketing Director). Before his appointment to Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, Prettyman was Vice President of Slots and Marketing at Live! Casino Pittsburgh.

In his new role, Prettyman will spearhead the development and execution of operational strategies at Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, ensuring its position as a leading gaming and entertainment venue in the Shreveport-Bossier market. His areas of responsibility will encompass hotel, food & beverage, security, EVS, and facility management.

Following Prettyman’s appointment, John J. Chaszar, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana expressed his confidence, saying, “Bryan’s extensive expertise will bolster the national Live! Casino brand and cement Live! With Prettyman at the helm of operations, the Cordish Gaming Group looks forward to successfully launching and operating its newest $270 million property in Bossier City.

The forthcoming Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is positioned to become a comprehensive gaming, dining, lodging, and entertainment venue. Projections indicate that it will accommodate over 1,000 slot machines, 40 live-action table games, and a sportsbook within a 47,000-square-foot gaming area. Furthermore, the property will offer more than 500 hotel rooms and is anticipated to yield substantial economic advantages for the region, including significant tax revenues and employment opportunities.
