Taking to the stage yesterday morning, Imelda Gallardo Calixto-Rubiano, the Mayor of Pasay joined Alejandro Tengco, the chairman of PAGCOR in officially opening SiGMA Asia’s Manila expo and conference.

Through SiGMA Asia, she said, Pasay City is able to showcase modern gaming innovations that are truly world class. She went on to emphasise that they have been able to provide more opportunities through the rise of controlled gaming establishments.

She also expressed her gratitude to PAGCOR, who are ‘doing their best to facilitate a gaming industry that will continue to further develop – and importantly, to help nation building. This, she said, will bring more job opportunities and provide quality entertainment to people caught up in the middle of the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

“Our grand vision of self sufficiency, environmental awareness and sustainability has been established and we are glad to have SiGMA Asia with us as we move towards becoming the first eco city. Being the hub of momentous events, Pasay City prides itself on being the gateway to Metro Manila.“

She concluded by welcoming the delegates to Pasay City. “Trust that it will always be a welcoming home to you and your endeavours. We share the excitement SiGMA brings and the passion to change people’s lives for the better.”
